Security Notes
Your password is your strongest defence.
Don't let others know it!
You may change your password at any time through your control
panel. If you forget your password contact the postmaster.
- For secure connexions you must select the secure
tls/ssl options in your email client; https:// in your web browser.
If you are unsure please ask for help.
- To increase your online protection don't give your
email address to just anyone - not everyone cares about your
privacy as much as you do!
- Remember to keep your own security software up-to-date.
It is not good to rely solely on one form of defence. You should have
good anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall programmes installed on your
computer.
- Ensure you have enabled safety features in your web
browser and email client so that malicious programs aren't
started automatically.
- If you have a home/office wireless (wifi) set-up make
sure you have enabled its strongest security measures.
- If you have used an internet cafe or other public
computer to access your mail you should make sure you
have completely logged-off and, if possible, delete the local browser
cache and history (do not attempt this if you are unsure.)
